Guidelines Issued by Government of India for Use of Air Coolers & Exhaust Fans during COVID-19

The guidelines for Air Circulation and Air Cooling during COVID-19, issued by Government of India, Central Public Works Department through circular no CE-CSQ(E)/COVID-19/2020/028 Dated 13/05/2020 1. Ceiling Fans should run at Low / Medium speed with intake of fresh air as much as possible by keeping doors and windows open. However it does not work at high temperatures or humidity, hence switch to Air Coolers or AC 2. Evaporative Air Coolers / Window fitted Coolers / Duct Type Coolers should run with maximum intake of fresh air and arrangement of exhaust as far as possible. Water from the cooler and cooling pads must be disinfected at regular intervals. To control high humidity in rainy season, exhaust fans must be used. 3. Exhaust Fans should run continuously for exhaust of hot air for supplementing air circulation by all types of air cooling devices like coolers and fans. 4. Temperature and Humidity range should be maintained as per general guidelines wherever applicable.
